The journey of a collection run. After we keep what is relevant, we analyse it, then walk the next ring of people.

| Step | What happens |
|---|---|
| 1. Name who to watch | Social accounts from onboarding, plus people, brands, and keywords on the org map. Accounts without a profile become search terms. |
| 2. Collect their posts | Recent public posts in the date window, up to a cap per account. |
| 3. Collect comments and replies | The conversation on each post, then replies on comments that have them. This is thread depth, not a new ring. See One post. |
| 4. Keep what is relevant | Off-topic items stay stored but leave dashboards. Own accounts and mentions of your entities are kept automatically. |
| 5. Read mood, topics, stories | See Analysis types. Photos and video: faces, text in the frame, places, match to author profile images — Image and video. |
| 6. Walk the next ring | People who commented relevantly get their own profiles collected. Default is one extra ring. See Rings. |
| 7. Search the wider conversation | Not a ring — a side door. Keywords from the org map and from stories. Asks before spending. |
| 8. Dashboards | Explore, Insights, Community, Public Opinion, Mind Map, Assistant. See What you get. |
Runs can stop and start
Pause, cancel, or resume where a run left off. Settings stay locked while one is live. Collection also stops if the project allowance is about to run out.
